The Ayurvedic life’s massage oil is a mix of carefully selected oils including coconut oil, sesame oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil in varying proportions to suit the season. The massage oil is infused with tulsi or holy basil, brahmi, saffron, manjistha, neem, amla or Indian gooseberry, ashwagandha, shatavari, rose petals, rose hip oil and lavender oil. Tulsi or holy basil brings lightness, warmth and clarity to the body and mind. Brahmi helps with focus and memory. Saffron is great for the skin, boosts immunity and flushes toxins from the body’s tissues. Manjistha is a blood cleanser and great detoxifier. Neem calms and lubricates the skin and is soothing and cooling. Ashwagandha is a rejuvenative herb which helps deal with stress. It is warming and helps build strength and vitality. Shatavari is a rejuvenative herb for the male and female reproductive system, digestive system and for the blood. Amla is an antioxidant, has anti inflammatory properties, has anti aging properties, and builds immunity.
Herbal oil massages help to make the skin ageless, soft and smooth, provide lubrication to the joints, tone the body, nourish the tissues, enhance circulation, move the lymph and help in detoxification, to calm the nervous system, improve sleep, and enhance mental alertness.
Slightly warm oil to enable faster absorption. Place the glass bottle with the cap securely fastened in a tub of hot water. Keep out of reach of children. Pour some warm oil into your palm, rub your palms together to spread the oil on your palms and gently massage the oil into the skin. Let the oil soak in for a minimum of 10-45 minutes. Shower using a mild body wash and lukewarm water. Use the oil as frequently as you need.
Store the oil in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
